Devon-Louise Oakley-Hogg

Co-Founder

Devon-Louise Oakley-Hogg is a secondary English teacher and doctoral researcher whose work is rooted in a deep commitment to equality and reproductive justice. Having undergone three emotionally and physically demanding rounds of IVF while teaching full-time, she brings a powerful combination of lived experience and academic insight to the fertility space. Motivated by the trauma and isolation she faced during her own journey, Devon co-founded One Full Round with a clear mission: to ensure no teacher has to navigate fertility treatment unsupported. Her advocacy is driven by a refusal to accept the silence, stigma, and systemic neglect that too often surround infertility in schools. As an EdD researcher, Devon’s research explores how misogyny manifests in educational spaces. Her writing on fertility and workplace inequality has been featured in Educate magazine (NEU) and Times Higher Education online. Through her articles and OneFullRound, Devon is helping to reshape the conversation around fertility in education — opening space for honesty, empathy, and real policy change.

Co-Founder

Caroline began her career as a Drama teacher in 2010. Some years later, while still working in education, she faced a challenging fertility journey. An experience that exposed the lack of support available for teachers undergoing treatment and a chapter that sparked her drive to advocate for change. Alongside her advocacy work, Caroline is a doctoral researcher exploring how line managers can better support women undergoing fertility treatment in the workplace. Her blend of lived experience and academic expertise allows her to support schools and organisations through webinars, training sessions, and consultancy. She has been featured internationally, including in an interview with Bloomberg, sharing her story to highlight the often-unseen toll of balancing treatment with professional responsibilities. At the heart of Caroline’s work is a clear goal: for school leaders to truly understand the struggle of fertility treatment and to play an active role in making that experience easier for those navigating it while teaching.
